Tobi Young

Tobi Young is Vice President of Government Affairs & Legal at Cognizant. She has served in all three branches of federal government.

Tobi served as a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil M. Gorsuch. Before working at the Supreme Court, she oversaw legal operations at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, a 501(c)(3) organization, while simultaneously serving as General Counsel in the Office of Former President George W. Bush. While President Bush was in office, Tobi was a Special Assistant to the President and Associate White House Counsel. Before that, she served as a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division.

Tobi also worked for several years on Capitol Hill as the press secretary for Representatives J.C. Watts, Jr. and now Senator Jerry Moran.

Tobi is a graduate of George Washington University and the University of Mississippi School of Law; and clerked earlier in her career for Judge Jerome Holmes on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Tobi is a member of the Chickasaw (Native American) Nation. She can be reached at
