James Burrows

James Burrows is Head of Capital Markets Solutions at Cognizant. He joined Cognizant’s Banking & Financial Services practice in May 2016 in London. James has 20-plus years of operations experience within the financial sector, most recently with Barclays where he ran the Global Asset Servicing, Global Security Settlements & Global Operations Tax team for the Investment Bank and Wealth Management Divisions. James also has experience running the Global Synthetic and Financing Middle Office.

In addition to the day-to-day running of the teams, James was also a board member of 11 Barclays entities, board member of AFME Post Trade Division & Chairperson of the AFME Asset Servicing Committee. Prior to Barclays, James led a number of operations teams at Goldman Sachs International (2000 – 2008) which included Global Corporate Actions, Global Client Services Group and Global Proxy.
