Chell Smith

Chell Smith is Senior Vice-President, Consulting & Transforming Client Relationships, at Cognizant. She is responsible for crafting unique experiences that help clients unlock high-value business opportunities or solve their most pressing IT challenges. Chell joined Cognizant from Ernst & Young, where she was the firm’s Americas Innovation Leader. Prior to Ernst & Young, Chell was CEO of the Americas at Cap Gemini, the company’s largest strategic business unit.

Chell attended the University of Minnesota’s School of Management Sciences, graduating with a concentration in Management Information Systems. She also served as a member of the board of advisors for the IT Services division of the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) and as a director for several private and publicly-held organizations in the professional services space. Chell received Consulting magazine’s Leadership Award in 2011, and was named one of the magazine’s “Top Global IT Power Brokers” in an April 2004 cover story. She was also named one of the “25 Most Influential Consultants” by Consulting magazine’s June 2004 issue. Chell has also been featured in The New York Times, Business Week, The Chicago Tribune and The Orange County Register.
