Cate Zovod

Cate Zovod leads product marketing for Cognizant Accelerator, Cognizant’s product group that finds, funds and fuels groundbreaking ideas to solve our client’s biggest challenges.

She started her career in public relations for Apple’s software division, supporting significant launches such as the MacOs, QuickTime and WebObjects. She has consulted for large companies such as Philips and EDS, as well as several start-ups through successful exits, including CenterRun (acquired by Sun) and Workspeed (acquired by MRI software). As the first hire at MobShop, she was instrumental in recruiting Marc Andreessen to the Board of Directors, and in fundraising from Mayfield Fund and GE Capital. She worked for open source BI leader Actuate (acquired by OpenText) for several years in solutions marketing, product marketing and ultimately leading global market development, launching the world’s most downloaded open source BI project, BIRT, with IBM’s Eclipse Foundation. Most recently, Cate worked in product and corporate marketing at Pivotal (EMC/VMware spin off), and led demand generation for Salesforce Service Cloud, Gartner and a marketshare leader in customer service and support solutions.
